About Community Transit's Service

RIDING COMMUNITY TRANSIT'S LOCAL FIXED-ROUTE BUSES

The local bus fare is $1.25 one way. Any person who has a disability or disabling condition, or who is 65 years or older, qualifies for a Regional Reduced Fare Permit. You can buy this permit for a one time fee of $3.00. This permit will allow you to ride any fixed-route transit system in the Puget Sound Region at a reduced fare. Reduced fare on Community Transit local, non-commuter buses is 50¢ each way.

There is a special Regional Reduced Fare Permit containing the letters "PCA." This is required in order for a Personal Care Attendant to ride free. If you need an attendant to travel with you, be sure to request the Regional Reduced Fare Permit with "PCA" printed on it.

The Regional Reduced Fare Permit allows you to ride all the local (non-commuter) fixed route buses in the region with a 50¢ Puget Pass. Show your Regional Reduced Fare Permit when boarding a regular, fixed-route bus with reduced fare, tickets or passes. If you use the 50¢ PugetPass when boarding DART, you will need to pay an additional 75¢ to make the full $1.25 DART fare.

You can also use a $1.25 PugetPass on all local fixed-route Sound Transite and paratransit systems in King, Pierce and Snohomish Counties with no extra fee. If you ride other commuter buses you will need to pay an additional 25¢ or 50¢ depending on the route.

Please note: Community Transit and DART drivers do not make change or sell tickets or passes.
